Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and Concealer

My 'Go To' Foundation

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and Concealer

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

I've tried lots of different foundations over the years but this foundation has taken residence in my make-up bag the longest. I find it perfect for everyday looks and it is a perfect shade for my very pale skin!

When wearing fake tan I simply mix this foundation with a darker one and it turns out just fine.  It is value for your money (around €9.99) and the constancy of the foundation allows for easy blending and a little goes a long way. It is quite liquid-y but very light on the skin. I don't feel like I am smothering in layers of make up when I wear it.

It is fab in summer as it has SPF 18 built in. I am really careful of my skin in the sun and having the SPF built in means I don't have to worry so much about putting sun cream on my face everyday the sun comes out (although that is not a very regular occurrence in Ireland!).

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer

This is a new addition to my make-up bag and honestly I don't know how I have survived without it until now. It is a great concealer and works well with the foundation. It is easy to apply and light enough to carry in your handbag for emergency touch ups. Again it is good value for money (around €7.65) which makes it easier when you use it everyday! I will definitely be buying this product again.

My Hair Care Routine - John Frieda

My Hair Care Routine - John Frieda

I have very fine hair and lots of it so I am prone to frizz! These products help me win the battle against frizz everyday and I would be lost without them. Because my hair is so fine I don't like to use too much heat on it as it gets damaged so easily so I try to use anti-frizz products so I don't have to straighten my hair.

John Freida - Frizz ease, shampoo, conditioner and serum.

I find with these products I can let my hair dry naturally and simple brush into a style and I am ready to go. Equally I makes styling my hair easier for my elaborate hairstyles as I have a smooth base to start with.

Formula Daily Care Night Lotion

Formula Daily Care Night Lotion

by M&S

I am always looking for a good night cream which will leave my face feeling fresh in the morning! So I decided to give this one a go and I am glad I did. It  is a light enough moisturizer so that you don't feel like your skin is smothering but it leaves your skin feeling hydrated all night. It also has an amazing floral smell which I love. I have used it for a few days now and feel like it has found a place in my skin regime for the future!

What is your favourite night cream or moisturizer?

As always, thanks so much for reading! Feel free to follow me or add me on twitter (Pressed_Powder).

Nail Art Brush Set

Nail Art Brush Set

Today I picked up a Nail Art Brush Set in Pennys (Primark) for €2.50. It contains five different nail art tools which is suitable for beginners to get started on some cool nail art.  It is super cheap and for the price the quality is very good :)

Was very excited to try out the dotting tool! I had great fun creating a polka dot look.

Seventeen Instant Glow Light Bronze Bronzing Powder

Seventeen Instant Glow Light Bronze Bronzing Powder

I bought this bronzer before Christmas and have used it countless times since. I wanted to try out a matt bronzer for contouring but I didn't want to spend a fortune.

At around  € 6 in Boots this product was a steal! It is long lasting and it is also a very natural colour and great product for contouring, especially when just learning the basics, because it a light bronzer which can be built up to a darker colour.

Have you tried this product? What did you think?

Prim and Primer

Prim and Primer!

Primer is a great way to keep your make up in position for longer. It is also great for creating a smooth undercoat for foundation. I decided to try a  cheap and cheerful 'Stay Time Long Wear Primer' by Seventeen ( €6.99 in Boots).

My idea of a primer would be a clear gel will a silicone texture but this primer was almost like a foundation with a very pale skin colour. I was disappointed when I first used it. I place a small amount on my finger tips and rubbed it in to my skin and it seems to form clumps and almost flake off my skin the more I tried to blend it.

I was about to give up on it and cut my losses when I tried applying it with a make up brush in small amounts. This worked much better! It dries quickly and I think that is why my first attempt failed so badly. Better to apply it little by little and do not over blend it as it will form clumps again!

I feel with the added colour in the primer it acts almost like a concealer as well which is great if you are having a bad skin day. I am happy with the results and for the price it is very good.

Sally Hansen French Manicure Kit

Sally Hansen French Manicure Kit

Platinum French for a Dazzling Modern Look- Nearly Nude

I was looking forward to trying out a new take on the classic french manicure look. This look is definitely modern and, although it took some time to get used to it, I really like it. The base coat is almost translucent except for a slight pearly finish. The sliver is intense and would probably make a cool colour to have all over the nail too!

The only thing I would warn you guys is that you need a fluid all in one motion with the silver to get it smooth. Touching it up with a second layer will only cause it to become bumpy and messy!

Let me know what you think!
